PAOLI, IN – The Orange County Community Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Philanthropist of the Year and Emerging Philanthropist of the Year awards, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to service and philanthropy in our community.
Brandy Terrell – 2025 Philanthropist of the Year
Brandy Terrell has been selected as the 2025 Philanthropist of the Year for her extraordinary dedication to mental health advocacy, trauma-informed care, and nonprofit leadership. As the founder and CEO of Forward Together Mental Health Counseling and Consulting, Brandy has worked tirelessly to improve access to mental health services in Orange County. Her leadership extends to organizations like Team OC Youth Mentoring, Southern Indiana Community Health Care, Thrive Orange County and Youth First, where she has championed initiatives supporting children, families, and community well-being. Brandy’s impact is also seen in projects such as the upcoming Orleans Community Garden and local workforce development programs, making her a driving force behind positive change in our community.
Brittany Stout – 2025 Emerging Philanthropist of the Year
Brittany Stout has been honored as the 2025 Emerging Philanthropist of the Year in recognition of her passionate efforts to expand healthcare and recovery services in Orange County. As a Nurse Practitioner and co-founder of Safe Haven Recovery Engagement Center, she has been instrumental in securing funding, expanding facilities, and increasing access to addiction treatment and mental health support. Her leadership has helped shape education and advocacy programs, including training healthcare providers and first responders on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and addiction science. Brittany’s dedication to fostering a healthier, more supportive community makes her a true champion for recovery and wellness in our region.
“The love and dedication to community is evident in the work both of these women do,” said Kristina Allen, Orange County Community Foundation Executive Director. “Their impact can be seen throughout all of Orange County. OCCF is honored to recognize them for their work.”
The awards were presented at the annual Golden Deeds Awards Ceremony on Sunday, March 2nd. Golden Deeds is an annual event hosted by the Orange County Community Foundation Youth Council, dedicated to honoring those unsung heroes who dedicate their time, talent, and treasure to bettering Orange County. The Orange County Community Foundation extends its heartfelt congratulations to this year’s recipients and gratitude to all who continue to make our community stronger through philanthropy.
