We at Southern Indiana Community Health Care are looking forward to the opportunity to be of service in Lawrence County.
You may not recognize our name yet, but you will be pleased to know that we hold a long record of high-quality primary care.
We have been serving as an independent community health center and a trusted provider of healthcare in the Orange and Crawford County region for almost 50 years. And now we’re excited to be expanding into Lawrence County!
At Southern Indiana Community Health Care, we provide full-scope primary care for people from birth to the elderly, with many types of medical services in between. We are grateful to the following Bedford and Mitchell providers who are becoming part of our team and current SICHC providers stepping up to support obstetrics and prenatal care in Lawrence County. We are positively working to create a smooth transition by mid-December.
Providers and locations
The following providers will continue to see patients in Bedford at 2512 Q St (same location). This will serve as a temporary location until Community Health Care’s new Bedford location is constructed in Lincoln Plaza (pharmacy) at 629 Lincoln Avenue. This location is expected to open in April of 2023.

Our staff is working diligently to provide as smooth a transition as possible for those who desire to continue health care coverage locally. Some construction and holiday-related issues have caused a short delay in opening our new Lawrence County offices, and we are grateful for your understanding. Refilling prescriptions
Refills of medications should be requested with your current provider by December 16, 2022.

Releasing your medical records
Please fill out a release of medical records at your current provider’s office, or click here to fill out the SICHC Release of Medical Records form. Attached form to and email and send it to our office here: register@sichc.org.
Insurance & payment options
Community Health Care is for all patients. We take all insurance plans and work with our patients on affordable billing and payment options, including a sliding fee scale (based on income and family size).
Our services are comprehensive, patient-centered, coordinated, accessible, and focused on providing the highest quality of community sensitive care based on Christ-oriented principles.
