Kara Beth Thompson, MD, MEHP
Family Physician

Dr. Kara Beth Thompson has spent the majority of her career as a family medicine teacher in Africa. Even though she has returned to the United States, she continues to support international postgraduate education and faculty development. She is also an adjunct faculty member in the Johns Hopkins Masters in Education for Health Professionals (MEHP) program.
Dr. Thompson graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency and obstetric fellowship at Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth) Orlando. She obtained her MEHP from Johns Hopkins University, where she received the Excellence Award for her degree program in 2025 and the Global Achievement Award from the JHU Alumni Association in 2026.
Working part-time in Paoli, Dr. Thompson provides obstetric and newborn care, including deliveries, c-sections, and external cephalic versions. She also provides women’s health services in the office, such as well-women exams and colposcopies, in addition to acute family medicine care.
