Protect Yourself

Protect yourself from COVID-19 this winter!

The COVID-19 virus constantly mutates and changes. New updated COVID-19 vaccines are now available to protect against potentially serious outcomes from COVID-19 illness.

New vaccines are now available. To serve you better, Southern Indiana Community Health Care (SICHC) is partnering with area pharmacies (and the Orange County Health Department) to offer up-to-date COVID-19 vaccines.

Why should you care?

Why is this important? Vaccination remains the best protection against COVID-19-related hospitalization and death. The latest COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna reduce your chances of suffering the effects of Long COVID, which can develop and last for an extended time.

Are they safe?

Hundreds of millions of people have safely received a COVID-19 vaccine under the most intense safety monitoring in U.S. history.

How much do vaccines cost?

It depends. The majority of health insurance plans will cover the cost of the vaccine. It’s been noted that some pharmacies who process their cost through an insurance plan and the plan only pays the majority of the cost, there remains an unpaid portion; and that cost will be the patient’s responsibility.

For patients who do not have health insurance, there are free options available through the CDC’s Bridge Access Program.  The Vaccines.gov website is an excellent tool to find available (free) vaccines near you.

Where are they being offered?

SICHC is partnering with local pharmacies to best serve you.  Please review the information below to determine the best option for you.

Please note: Schedule your vaccines In advance

Save time! For efficiency and convenience, please contact local pharmacies in advance to schedule an appointment for vaccines. Please call directly, or when available, use the online appointment links below to schedule your visit.
